Description
Has the recent release by the U.S. DOT of the final rule for reasonable modifications/accommodations to policies, practices and procedures to avoid discrimination been cause for concern at your agency? This session will explore the background for this rule and show how most transit agencies have been making reasonable modifications for customers with disabilities for years. Easter Seals Project Action Consulting (ESPAC) will present information from the FTA’s guidance on this rule and open the session to questions, comments and discussion regarding how this will impact transportation services going forward.
Learners will:
- Get a review of the FTA guidance document on reasonable modification
- Work through multiple examples to understand the extent of this requirement
- Receive answers to their questions about how this new rule applies to the provision of transportation service
Presenters are also accepting questions in advance of the webinar. Please send your questions to ESPAConsulting@easterseals.com with “Reasonable Modification Webinar Questions” in the subject line no later than April 6. Questions will also be taking during the webinar via email or via the webinar chat section. Questions will not be taken over the phone.
